ADD-A-BEAD or CHAIN-A-BEAD Necklace

Necklace - Sarah Coventry. "ADD-A-BEAD" Chain with 9 beads from 1980. Chains and beads were originally sold separately. This particular necklace has the 34" chain with the 7 piece Graduated gold beads set (SC stock #8644) plus an additional 2 small goldtone beads. Chain is a goldtone cobra chain with a "'laurel clasp' which allows you to slide the beads onto these chains in any order you desire" per the August 1980 catalog where this set was first sold. Beads are different sizes with the largest in the center being 10mm in diameter. This necklace and beads are all in excellent condition. ** Sarah Coventry changed the name of this necklace to "Chain-a-Bead" in 1982 presumably because the "ADD-A-BEAD" name was copyrighted by another company.
